About The Event
Tri-County Independent Living (TCIL) and City of Eureka, Community Services Department (ECSD) is partnering to present “Roll ~N~ Stroll” for Sequoia Park fun walk Saturday, September 29, 2018.
The “Roll ~N~ Stroll” for Sequoia Park will offer two short walks for individuals, a 2km (1.24 miles) and 5km (3.11 miles). These two walks are for fun, targeting all with various abilities and ages, those with limited mobility to family members pushing strollers. This is a fun event to introduce you the Waterfront Walk along the Humboldt Bay Harbor.
Participants are asked to donate $5 per individual and all participants will be eligible to win a prize. Twelve and under free. Funds raised through this event will be split 50/50 between Tri-County Independent Living and the Sequoia Park Accessibility Improvement fund.
The “Roll ~N~ Stroll” for Sequoia Park will take place along with the Waterfront Trail Grand Opening to be held at Halverson Park, Saturday, September 29th.
Other interactive activities include recreation play sprinkled along the trail, art talks about the interactive bench sculptures, free workshops on hand weaving and spinning, community scavenger hunt, cultural and local performers, live art and music, free Ukulele lessons and sing-a-along performances, local food and brewers, roaming entertainment, Kinetic Universe involvement, kid's play area, a build-a-lantern workshop for the end of the night Lantern Walk, and more will be held following the “Roll ~N~ Stroll.
